4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:

- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity
- Use Allegro to send spam or unsolicited messages
- Attempt to access accounts or data that does not belong to you

- Upload GPS data that does not belong to you without permission from the original athlete
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of the GPS activity data, photos, and other content you upload to Allegro ("Your Content"). By uploading content, you grant Allegro a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, display, reproduce, and share Your Content to other users in accordance with your privacy settings, and to use aggregated or de-identified data derived from Your Content to operate and improve the service.
You can delete Your Content at any time. Deleted content is removed from public view immediately and from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for backup integrity.
6. Privacy Settings
You control who can see your activities through your account privacy settings. Public activities may be visible to anyone. Private accounts require you to approve followers before they can view your content. Setting your account to private does not affect content you have already shared publicly.
7. Assumption of Risk
Running, training, and other physical activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, illness, property damage, and death. You acknowledge these risks and participate at your own risk. Allegro does not provide medical, fitness, nutritional, or safety advice, and nothing on the service should be construed as such. Consult a qualified physician before beginning any training program, particularly if you have pre-existing health conditions.
GPS data, route information, distance, pace, elevation, and other metrics on Allegro are provided for informational and recreational purposes only. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. You must not rely on them for navigation, traffic awareness, terrain assessment, or any safety-critical decision. Always be aware of your surroundings, follow local laws, and use appropriate caution when running.
8. Group Runs and In-Person Meetups
Allegro allows users to organise and attend group runs and other in-person meetups. Allegro is a venue that enables users to coordinate; it is not the organiser, host, or sponsor of any group run, and does not vet, screen, or background-check the users who create or attend them.
You participate in any group run or in-person interaction arranged through Allegro entirely at your own risk and discretion. You are responsible for your own safety, including assessing the suitability of routes, weather, traffic, fellow participants, and your own fitness. Allegro is not responsible for the conduct of other users, whether online or in person, and disclaims all liability for any injury, loss, or harm arising from interactions between users or attendance at any meetup.
If another user behaves unsafely, harasses you, or makes you feel unsafe, stop the interaction immediately, prioritise your safety, and report the user to us at contact@allegro.run. Contact local emergency services in any situation involving immediate risk to safety.
9. Third-Party Services
Allegro integrates with third-party services, including Strava, Google Sign-In, and Apple Sign-In. When you connect a third-party account or sign in using one of these providers, you also agree to that provider's terms of service and privacy policy, and you authorise data to flow between Allegro and that provider as described in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Allegro and its operator from and against any claim, demand, loss, liability, damage, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) Your Content; (b) your use of the service; (c) your violation of these Terms; (d) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party, including any other user; or (e) your conduct at, or attendance of, any group run or in-person meetup arranged through Allegro.
11. Copyright and DMCA
Allegro respects intellectual property rights. If you believe content on Allegro infringes your copyright, send a written notice to contact@allegro.run including: (i) your physical or electronic signature; (ii) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (iii) identification of the allegedly infringing material and information sufficient for us to locate it; (iv) your contact information; (v) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised; and (vi) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
We may remove allegedly infringing content and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
12. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
13. Disclaimers
Allegro is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all such warranties.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Allegro or its operator be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to use the service in the 12 months prior to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for certain damages; in such jurisdictions, the foregoing limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

The arbitrator's decision shall be final and enforceable in any court of competent jurisdiction. You and Allegro each waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action. Either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in a court located in King County, Washington for claims involving intellectual property or unauthorised access to the service.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the site or sending an email to your registered address. Continued use of Allegro after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
